Answering the question, "Do anchors wear pants at the desk?"

It's been a question, or at least a joke about the news industry since anchors have sat behind a desk: "What are you wearing under there?" Some have said they wear casual shorts as they anchor the news simply to stay cool under the hot lights. SportsCenter even had a commercial where fantasy camp participants showed up to the set without any pants only to find out that it is a myth.

Well it turns out it was no myth for a news anchor in Europe. The anchor showed up to the set without pants, only he tried to hide it. But when turning to the guest on set he revealed his secret to everyone who was watching at home.

There were many hot days I wished it was okay to do my job without pants, heck I would have settled for shorts on many hot occasions, but that is simply unacceptable. It is controversial for an anchor to show up to the set without a tie on, so imagine the audience getting to see them without a pair of pants. The idea is crazy, but maybe he could start a revolution. The "No Pants News" or "NTN" for short. Maybe the idea could catch on. The tag line could be journalism without the starch!
